A miraculous joint concert in which two legends who moved rock history overlapped their sounds. The legendary transcendental recording that permanently preserves the Japanese performance is reprinted.
The miraculous concert was “February 21/22, 2009: Saitama Super Arena Performance”. It is a 6-disc set of super-superb audience recordings that completely recorded the whole story for two nights. Speaking of Clapton & Beck, the British edition “TOGETHER & APART: DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010 (Beano-237)”, which was reprinted the other day, is also fresh in memory, but the two co-star performances are in four countries (8 performances) in total. Realized. Let’s review the outline once again.
●2009
・February 21: Saitama performance ←★Disc 1-3★
・February 22nd: Saitama performance ←★Disc 4-6★
●2010
・February 13 “DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010 (Disc 1-3)”
・February 14 “DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010 (Disc 4-6)”
・ February 18: New York performance
・ February 19: New York performance
・ February 21: Toronto performance
・ February 22: Montreal performance
All 8 performances above. In the first place, in February 2009, the two of them individually went on a solo tour of Japan, and set up a special co-starring performance only twice. It was so successful that it became a reality in the UK, the US and Canada. Various records were left only for the epoch-making concert that was realized ahead of the world, but among them, it was our shop’s “LIVE TOGETHER” that shone as the best masterpiece. As a matter of fact, several years have passed since the live performance was excavated, and the recording artist was an unknown person who had never released the recording until then. It was the air of “no matter how great the show is now …”, but it was a legendary title that overturned it by force and stole the topic of the industry at once.
The power that turned the entire industry on its head was just one point, “good sound.” Anyway, everyone who touched the tremendous transcendental sound was blown away without exception. If you have caught your eye on this article, you may have a rare sight of a miraculous audience recording. “I don’t care if it’s SBD or AUD anymore”, “Even if I do all the rhetoric, it’s still not enough”, “I feel like I’ve insulted even the ‘official’ words” … such an experience. The feeling of touching this work is exactly that. It is so perfect that it can not be helped to say “core …”, “details …”, “ringing …” individually, it is easy to listen to like an official work, but on the other hand it is a scene that can not be an official product A “sound” that has both senses and is extremely beautiful. It transcends the classification of recording methods and formal/informal, and overflows with sounds that embody the culture of “recording live performances”.
A recording artist who was unknown until yesterday became whispered “that ‘LIVE TOGETHER’ taper” overnight, and the importance of the collection exploded. Clapton / Beck individual performances in 2009, of course, Clapton & Stevie Winwood’s “FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH (Tricone 121-124)” and Beck’s “TOKYO 2010 FINAL NIGHT (Wardour-119)” The recordings of the tour were also pressed one after another and shook the collectors.
This work is a detailed reproduction of such a legendary title. To tell the truth, I also tried mastering for the revival, but it was too perfect to change. Of course, it is easy to subtly change the feel and advertise as “remastered board!”, But if it does not become a “meaningful difference”, there is no point in changing it. The truth of the original master … Above all, we paid the utmost respect to the truth of the on-site sound, and decided to permanently preserve it again as it was.
A miraculous full show is depicted with such a miraculously beautiful sound. The concert consisted of three parts, “Beck’s Solo Stage (Disc 1 / Disc 4)”, “Clapton’s Solo Stage (Disc 2 / Disc 5)” and “Co-starring Stage (Disc 3 / Disc 6)” for both nights. It was a different selection from the UK edition “DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010” the other day. Let’s organize them by comparing them.

* Note: “★” marks are songs that could not be heard in the UK edition “TOGETHER & APART: DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010”. In particular, the “★★” marks are Japan-only songs that have not been played in concerts in other countries.
“The miracle of audience recording.” The British edition “TOGETHER & APART: DEFINITIVE LONDON 2010”, which is a big hit, was also a superlative brand, but to put it bluntly, it cannot be compared. “Dignity” dwells in the sound itself, giving off “dignity”. You can fully experience the two nights when two heroes shared the stage with such a magical sound.
Now that Beck has passed away and Clapton is about to perform his 100th performance at the Nippon Budokan, there is no other live album that is as poignant as this one. It can’t be. Those of you who have actually experienced the live performance may remember the expression of the two men who exchanged impromptu with serious eyes and smiled with eye contact. Even if you forget, the sound of this work, which vividly depicts even the subtleties of emotion, will clearly emerge. 14 years after the miraculous scene, the legendary record is back in the spotlight. Please engrave it in your soul forever with the permanent preservation press 6CD at any time.
★Recording of the miraculous joint concert “February 21st/22nd, 2009: Saitama Super Arena Performance”. It is a 6-disc set that fully recorded three-part full show x 2 performances called “Beck’s solo / Clapton’s solo / co-starring stage”. Easy to listen to like an official work, on the other hand, it has a sense of the scene that cannot be found in an official product, and the sound that is extremely beautiful is truly a miracle. It is an absolute work of the history of Japanese Western music where you can fully experience a miraculous show with a miraculous sound.
