Eric Clapton’s Japan Tour 2023, which provided a number of topics and ended with great success. Among them, the 4th day performance on April 21st was also the day when the epoch was achieved as the only foreign artist to achieve “100 performances at the Budokan”. The Cocaine is also included. In this song, you can see that the arena is standing up. Finally, at the moment when the audience’s “Cocaine!” This scene is unusual because Clapton does not usually do this! And of course, the 100th anniversary ceremony is also included. 【武道館100回記念のエポック公演の美味しいところをリアルに体感できる珠玉のシューティング！】
この4日目公演は、初日公演以来、ずっとレギュラーセットのラストに演奏されてきたLaylaに替わり、突如Cocaineが演奏された日でもありました。そのCocaineも収録されています。この曲ではアリーナは総立ちになっていることが分かります。最後にオーディエンスの「Cocaine!」の大合唱で締まった瞬間には、クラプトンが微笑みながら両手でGOODポーズをします。いつもはこんなことはしないクラプトンですので、このシーンは珍しいです！そしてもちろん100回記念のセレモニーも収められています。レギュラーセットラストのCocaineが終演し、一旦クラプトンとバンドがステージを降りている間、オーディエンスがアンコールを求めて拍手をしている間に、会場内にアナウンスが流れます。その最中にクラプトンとバンドがステージに再登場します。アナウンスは、今日でクラプトンの武道館での公演数が100回に当たり、それを祝して花束と記念の盾が進呈される旨です。再びステージに現れたクラプトンに、武道館側から100本の赤いバラの花束、ウドー音楽事務所から記念の盾が手渡されます。クラプトンは嬉しそうに受け取り、深々とオーディエンスに向かってお辞儀をしています。もちろん会場内は大喝采です。さらにここで興味深いのは、クラプトンがウド―音楽事務所の高橋専務とツアーマネージャーであるアキ氏をマイクを通さずに声掛けし、ステージに呼び出していることです。武道館での100回もの公演を実現できたのは、彼らを含むウドー音楽事務所のスタッフのおかげだという、クラプトンの謙虚な心と感謝の気持ちが表わされているのです。オーディエンスからは、ウド―音楽事務所のスタッフへも温かい拍手が送られるという素晴らしい瞬間も捉えられています。本作は、この日を観た方以外にも記念に残るいい映像だと思います。
エレクトリックでの前半、中盤のアコースティックセット、終盤のエレクトリックセットと、ステージ進行の美味しいところを収録した極上オーディエンスショット。クラプトンの笑顔で終わる、いい映像です。とにかく「百聞は一見に如かず」。是非ご覧ください。
