Iron Maiden / Eddies History 1980/1998 / 1DVDR / Non Label Translated Text: Greatest Onstage Eddies Footage From Iron Maiden To Virtual IX Click Image To Enlarge       海外マニアが制作した“楽しい映像集”がギフト・リリース決定です。そのコンセプトはズバリ「エディ史」。『鋼鉄の処女』から『ヴァーチャル・イレヴン』までの巨大エディ登場シーンばかりを集めた１枚なのです。 エディの登場シーンと言えば、IRON MAIDENライヴのハイライト。各種映像でも、目玉となるポイントです。本作は、その出演シーンだけを18種、約46分間に凝縮したもの。曲は完奏ではありませんが、それだけに千変万化するエディが次から次へと現れていくテレビ番組のような面白い１本なのです。使用映像は『死霊復活』や『MAIDEN ENGLAND』といったお馴染みのオフィシャル映像もあれば、極上プロショット、さらにはツアーに１本しかない超貴重オーディエンスまで多種多様。各ツアーでもっとも優れた映像を厳選して構成されています。 なにより面白いのは、バンドの成功に伴って豪華になっていく様子。最初のポール・ディアノ時代では、まだ壁に描かれたエディやスタッフがお面を被ってスモークをまき散らしますが、“THE BEAST ON THE ROAD”で３メートル級の竹馬エディに大型化。さらに“WORLD PIECE TOUR”ではステージセットと同化した巨大エディになっていくのです。 その“WORLD PIECE TOUR”が超貴重。PVで有名なエディの殺害シーンも収録されていますが、ド貴重なのはモントリオール公演の“Hallowed Be Thy Name”。暗いオーディエンス映像で分かりづらいですが、曲のブレイクに伴って巨大なエディの顔がせり上がってくるのです。このツアーからセットと同化した巨大エディが登場したわけですが、その動く姿をご覧になった事がない方も多いのではないでしょうか。“WORLD PIECE TOUR”時代は、オーディエンス・ショットでさえ２種類しかなく、ちゃんとエディが映っているのは、このモントリオール公演しかないのです。 また公式では観られなかった“SOMEWHERE ON TOUR”も極上ショット。竹馬エディは間近で見えるフィラデルフィア公演、エレベータまで持ち込んでステージ全体を抱え込む巨大エディは全景のシェフィールドで全貌をしっかりと目撃できます。また、最大のレア映像は“NO PRAYER ON THE ROAD”の巨大エディ。このツアーはシンプルなセットだけだったと思われている方もいらっしゃるでしょうが、しっかりと巨大エディが登場。『死霊復活』さながらに、棺桶をぶち破って現れるシーンが画面にいっぱいの極上アングルでご覧になれます。 その“NO PRAYER ON THE ...
