Poison / Live Inn 1986 / 1CDR / Shades
Live At Shibuya Live Inn Tokyo Japan 21st November 1986.
The showcase album of POISON’s first visit to Japan is reissued with a bonus DVDR! They have a strong image of “Glamband, which was a big hit on the trend of LA metal”, but in fact they came to Japan before the break, and now they have a 4-day showcase gig at the late “Shibuya LIVE INN”. I was going. This work is an audience album that contains the final day of the first visit to Japan, which is now a legend, “November 21, 1986 Shibuya LIVE INN performance”.
This work appeared in June 2009. At that time, the original cassette, which did not exist between traders or on the Internet, was taken over from the recorder himself, and was released as a direct digit. It wasn’t a big hit for everyone because it was LA metal, but it was a huge shock to the sound source enthusiasts of LA metal. After all, it’s POISON, and it’s a recording of the first visit to Japan that “everyone knows”, so it’s surprising just to exist, but the sound was more than that. The high-quality sound is extraordinary, and if it is not handed over by the recorder, it is a direct feeling that the outflow of the line is sufficient. However, if you listen carefully, it will not be as white as a line. The vividness and closed-door feeling of a club that makes you feel like you’re turning back is packed into Munmun.
POISON playing with that sound also feels like a tremendous club band. It was three and a half months after the release of his debut album “LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN”, but it was the singles “Talk Dirty to Me” and “I Want Action” that made the album climb to the third place in the United States. It was May 1987 when it caught fire. At that time, they were still in a state of “knowing to those in the know.” Dreaming of success, I came to Japan with POISON, who was working hard at a club in LA.
The taste of this work is exactly here! It is in. Immediately afterwards, party rock is full of enthusiasm and dedication like a club band, while having songs and performances (not technical skill) that dominate the United States. A figure that is flirting with themselves in a foreign country in the distant Far East. It fills the narrow space of “Shibuya LIVE INN”. Moreover, after finishing “# 1 Bad Boy”, the MC said, “Today, METALLICA members (Lars, James, and Jason who are visiting Japan for the first time) are coming as guests.” Although the image and customer base seem to be completely different, in reality, “LA metal” and “thrash metal” were friends of neighbors. This atmosphere, atmosphere, mood, vibe, and presence that can only be found in 1986, which can only be found in clubs ……… Ah, what should I say! It’s vivid and clear like a sound board, and it flows out of the speaker with a realistic sound that makes the scent of “Shibuya LIVE INN” drift!
Although I introduced it from a historical point of view, this work is also a fun live album with the triple time signature of “good sound”, “good song”, and “good mood”. After all, it’s a club gig that gets excited with all the songs of that “LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN” + “Strutter” of KISS. The sound is so wonderful (too wonderful) that it sounds like a “live version of a masterpiece”.
Those who like “LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN”, those who want to enjoy the happiest party live, those who miss the club mood 30 years ago, and those who want to enjoy the true historical sense of HR / HM. ……… It is the best live album in any way of listening, whether you are pursuing your interests or enjoying it comfortably. There is no other masterpiece recording like this!
なにしろ、あの「LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN」全曲+KISSの「Strutter」で盛り上がりまくるクラブギグです。あまりにも素晴らしい(素晴らしすぎる)サウンドに、それこそ“名盤の生 演奏バージョン”として聴けてしまうほどです。
